Southern Buttermilk Biscuits

I always enjoy biscuits with dinner and thought it was time to try another recipe. This is a quick, painless way to make yummy flaky biscuits.

Combine all dry ingredients.


Cut softened butter into cubes.


Cut into butter into the dry ingredients until the consistency is that of of course meal.


Add buttermilk until just combined.


Once dough is just combined, place dough onto floured surface.


Gently pat until 1/2" thick. Fold 5 times and press to 1" thick.


Cut into biscuit rounds or squares.


Place on baking sheet and bake for 10 - 12 minutes at 450 F.


Enjoy the biscuits.


Ingredients

2 cups of all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoons of baking soda
1 tablespoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt
6 tablespoons of butter
1 cup of buttermilk
