Baked Ziti

I have made this dish several times over the past year or so and have always loved it. It is quite easy to make and tastes yummy. As long as you can mix together a few ingredients and cook sausage in a pan you can easily create this yummy and filling dinner for yourself and friends.

First start by cooking the sausage. Instead of adding only a few tablespoons of water to the pan, I filled the pan covering about half of the sausage thickness due to the fact that I am using frozen meat. If yours isn't frozen don't add this much water. Cook sausage until fully cooked. Brown if desired. Also start boiling water and cook ziti per the box instructions.

When the sausage is boiling combine all the other ingredients and blend. I used cheddar cheese as well because I didn't have quite enough mozzarella cheese.

The cheese mix when fully mixed.

When the pasta is done cooking and drained. Return to pot and add enough spaghetti sauce to coat them.

When sausage is fully cooked, cut into small pieces.

Add sausage to pasta mix and heat until the sauce is hot.

Spoon half the pasta mix out into a 13 x 9 pyrex.

Spoon out half the cheese mix and place evenly over pasta. Spoon out remaining pasta mix then cover with cheese mix.

Once all the ingredients are used, cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 30 minutes at 350F. Remove foil and bake for 5-10 minutes until bubbly. Enjoy.
