Smoky Chicken & Peppers Mac

This is a nice and easy recipe that takes around 25 minutes total to whip together and is perfect when you want to throw together dinner quickly. I like this recipe and makes a much nicer dinner than just plain mac 'n cheese.

There are only a few ingredients that are required. They are: a mac and cheese box, a pepper, mozzarella cheese, bacon bits and milk.

Cut up 1 pound of chicken into 1" cubes and cook completely in a pot.

Once completely cooked, add a cup of milk and 1.5 cups of water into the pot. Add the box of macaroni. Bring to boil. Simmer for 8 minutes.

When the macaroni is softening up, I always place the cheese packet next to the oven's eye to soften and heat it up. I have found this works quite well.

In about 8 minutes, when the noodles are soft add the pepper, cheese mix and bacon bits. You can add as much or as little bacon bits as you wish.

Heat on low until warm and well combined.

Top with 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese. You can add extra cheese mixed in as well if you wish. Enjoy.

Recipe

1 box of macaroni and cheese
1 pound of chicken breasts
0.25 cup of bacon bits
1 cup of milk
1.5 cups of water
1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese
1 whole pepper (red or green)
