This recipe requires only 4 ingredients: Confections sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon and of course butter.
Place the softened butter in the mixer bowl with the flat beater attached. Add the confectioners sugar. Becoming mixing to create a uniform mix at speed 1. Once uniform mix at speed 6 for 3 minutes.
After completing the whipping of the butter and sugar it should look something like this.
At this stage add the cinnamon and begin mixing at speed 4. I turned the mixer off to make sure I didn't add the spice on top of the beater.
I mixed on speed 4 and slowly added the maple syrup one tablespoon of syrup at a time stopping the mixer at each at each addition until all 3 are added. I then beat the mixture for an additional 2 minutes to get the mixture creamy.
A picture of me pouring the syrup.
This is how it should look once its complete.
I couldn't resist to try it and had to take a little bit. Yummy. It was really delicious on some left over cinnamon swirl bread which I made prior on this post, HERE
I thought it would be nice to place it in a container to keep it for later, and this small glad ware container fit it just perfectly. Looks good too.
