Oreo Pudding Poke Cake

I found this recipe online and thought it would make a yummy desert that was easy to make. It is definitively was as easy to make as I though it was and tastes great. Let me know what you think about this easy desert.

One nice thing about this desert is that the only required ingredients are a brownie mix, oreo jello and oreo cookies (not pictured). Oil, eggs, milk and water are needed for the mixes.

First, the brownies are cooked per the box's directions. Here all the ingredients have been mixed and it is ready to be poured into a square pan.

The mix has been poured into the pan and baked at 350F though the temperature and time will vary based on your selected mix, pan material and pan size.

The brownie mix after baking for 32 minutes in my case.

Right after the cake was removed from the oven, I poked holes approximately 1" apart over the entire top of the brownie. I used the handle of a plastic spoon a had which made these nice large holes. However really anything could have been used to create larger or smaller holes. You could probably even use your finger once the brownie has cooled enough as to not burn you.

At this stage I mixed the oreo jello mix as per the box directions and prepared to pour it over the now holey cake.

A final picture of the cake before the Oreo cookie topping being added. Note that the Oreo jello has some Oreos already incorporated, but more can never hurt.

I crushed about 9 Oreos into a bowl into a relatively large pieces before sprinkling them on top of the cake.

The final cake before placing it in the refrigerator to set up and before enjoying this delicious treat. Yum.

Recipe:

Bake the brownie recipe according to its own directions. Once baked, poke holes 1" apart with a spoon handle or similar implement. Mix jello mix and pour over brownie. Chill in fridge. Enjoy.
